Artists find inspiration in some of the strangest place. However, the end product is usually unique and pushes the envelope just enough to open up our minds. Artist Todd Bratrud has taken that exact approach on a pair of Nike Hi Dunks, dubbed “Skunk”.

The shoe features a multiple shades of green through0ut the upper and are complimented by a purple Nike Swoosh. The midsole is also a shade of green, while the outsole finishes the design in purple. The most striking aspect of the shoe is the textured material used on the upper. They look to constructed of an unfinished or frayed suede that give the shoe an almost grass-like look. The insole is blue with a green skunk, thus the name of the shoe. Look for these to hit at Quickstrike accounts in April.

Wiz Khalifa told us he had a vision during his morning Kush & Orange Juice session that the Skunk SB Dunk was going to release on 4/20. It’s funny because we also got calls from Curren$y, Red Man, Method Man, Snoop Dogg, and even the real bongo boy, Matthew McConaughey called us and said the exact same thing.

Before the Air Jordan I, the Nike Dunk Low was worn off and on the court. Around 1985 the first pair of Nike Dunks were made available, with a variety of different color ways. Finding a color scheme to match your team colors was not a problem. During the 1985 NCAA Basketball Tournaments during the 1985-86 season you would see teams wearing Nike Dunks Women's like Michigan, Syracuse, Maryland, UNLV and Arizona.

During the initial release of the Nike Dunks, matching to your uniform would be on point while Nike released two sets of laces (each a different color). Another interesting factor is that the Original release of the Nike Dunk had a matching box in the exact color scheme.

Due to high demand, Nike finally re released the Dunk in 1998, with many special color ways, collaborations, regional releases and more.
